RDP Connection Guide

Linux

For RDP connections, you can use these clients:

• Remmina
• KRDS
• Freerdp2-x11

Freerdp2-x11 is the only one that handles multiple monitors.
 

Setting up a multi-monitor RDP session:
 

Installing freerdp2-x11 on DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)

sudo apt install freerdp2-x11

Connecting to Your Work Desktop

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666

Exiting the Session

CTRL+ALT+Enter

or

Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect

 

Audio and Microphone Redirection

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa
