Public Cloud

Is DaDesktop akin to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Aliyun?

Public or computing clouds are built to host applications. DaDesktop, on the other hand, is crafted for individuals using remote desktops.

What similarities exist between AWS and DaDesktop?

From an end-user's viewpoint, the parallels are few. Both let you access a remote machine and run software on it. However, AWS EC2 is geared toward system administrators, whereas DaDesktop is intended for training attendees, instructors, course organizers, and management.

Some organizations still leverage AWS or other clouds for remote course delivery. Yet a typical public cloud tends to be more costly, slower, and less user-friendly than DaDesktop. DaDesktop is purpose-built for course delivery, not all-purpose computing.

DaDesktop emphasizes an instructor-led delivery method, where the trainer is present throughout the session.

What common ground do LMS and DaDesktop share?

DaDesktop boasts numerous features that intersect with LMS functionality and even go beyond it.

With DaDesktop, a course administrator can enroll students, monitor attendance, gauge learner engagement, verify connections, and even capture participants' screens during the course.

It enables you to handle these tasks in a largely automated fashion. For instance, trainers don’t need to manually check attendance—the data is already in the system. DaDesktop can log participant locations, connection duration, completed exercises, skipped ones, and so on.

Participants who couldn't attend live can watch recordings and practice within an environment identical to what was used during the live course.
