Creating from OS Template

To spin up a desktop using an OS template:

1. Go to the course and open the Desktops menu
2. Click on "Create From OS Template"

This shows the various options available when creating a desktop from an OS template
 

Each field is explained below:

• GPU Model
  Select the GPU model and type if needed. Checking 'Display GPU enabled servers' filters the list to show only servers that have GPUs available
• Datacentre / Server
  Select the datacentre region and server that is nearest to your location here in Hungary
• OS to clone from
  Operating System (OS) templates cover Windows and various Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Debian, Almalinux, and more
• Include custom, old, beta & rc Versions
  DaDesktop regularly updates its templates; however, if you encounter any issues with the latest template, you can try an older version here
• CPU
  Set the number of CPU cores needed. Note that the default of 8 cores is usually sufficient for most common Linux and Windows workloads
• Memory
  Specify the memory limit in GB for the desktop. Keep in mind that you're constrained by the server's resources, as each server may have its own memory limits. If you need to raise these limits, reach out to us via Support Chat
• Disk Space 
  Select the amount of disk space to allocate. The default is 50GB.
