Recycle Bin

Once a course finishes, all associated machines — like Fresh Start, Trainer, and all Participant machines — are removed after a brief period.

A recent feature allows you to recover these machines from the 'Recycle Bin' for some time after they've been taken out of the course. The window during which machines can be restored depends on several factors, including server disk space and course activity, rather than a fixed timeframe. However, you can typically expect machines to be recoverable for at least a couple of months after the course concludes.
 

You can choose to Restore a machine back to its original Course, if that Course is still active. Otherwise, you can Restore it to a Standalone Desktop, or if you prefer, Delete it entirely.
 

Check the status of your Recycle bin by looking at the Recycle Bin icon. A black icon means there are machines ready for restoration; a greyed-out icon indicates the bin is empty.
 

You can also search your recycle bin machines by name, server name, or course name.

Restoring or Deleting Machines from the Recycle Bin

1. Restore - Use this to bring back a machine that was removed from a course; it returns to its original course. If the course has already ended, you won't be able to restore it there and should choose a Standalone machine instead (see below).
2. Restore to Standalone Desktop - This is typically used when a course is no longer available. Restoring to a Standalone machine offers greater flexibility, as the machine can be kept as long as you need.
3. Delete - To permanently remove a machine from the Recycle Bin, use 'Delete'. Note that once deleted from the bin, the machine can't be recovered.
4. Empty Recycle Bin - Clicking the red Empty Recycle Bin button will delete all machines from the bin, meaning they can no longer be used.
